One of my favorite all time tweeps is http://twitter.com/lisasamples Her tweets are always so happy, and she seems to really get the whole mom it forward concept, when I get down about writing, or I think that I am 'just' a stay at home mom, she always encourages me and makes me realize I am so much more than that!

My favorite person is my sister in law, Liz Dodd. :)
She always makes me smile. She encourages me to work hard and believe in myself. Liz is a great mom, helps my mother, who takes care of my grandparents with Dementia, and is an all around wonderful person.

and I'd like to nominate Cecily from My Chaos, My Bliss.

Cecily deserves this vacation b/c I'm pretty sure she hasn't had one in a long time. She gives everything she has to her family, and despite a medical condition that knocks her out, she stays positive.

Her posts strengthen me every time b/c they show me what I could be doing better. She helps moms become better moms without giving advice. Her ability to find the silver lining of every situation speaks volumes.

The inexpensive things she does with her kids provide me with ideas for my own.

WONDERFUL, wonderful woman, a true example of a Mom It Forward mom.

I'd like to nominate @Nikki_S (Nichole Smith) and her family for this great trip! This gal has been a pleasure to work with and she's ready to help anyone who needs it! When her sister's daughter was waiting for a heart transplant she set up a website for her (I helped) and also managed/coordinated benefit suppers and silent auctions. She's always been available on Twitter and Skype when I have questions and she's more than ready to share information!

I am nominating my sister in law, Kim King. She is such a giving person. She has an son in 8th grade and a daughter in 6th grade. She was the homeschool mom, until last year. Now the two kids, are in public school. But, she still keeps a close eye on them. She volunteers in the school Library and works closely with other moms at the school. She leads a weekly Bible study. She is such an encouragement to the moms who attend this Bible study. She offers these mothers spiritual guidance, encouragement, and friendship. She is always volunteering to help families in need, at her church. I don't know how she finds the time, to do it all. Above all, she is a Godly Christian mother and wife. She is a great example for me, as a mother and wife. She deserves this vacation, with her family.

What could be more Mom It Forward then someone who dedicates so much time to helping moms (and dads) figure out their kids sleep problems. Better sleep makes for a much stronger family! She does awesome blog posts on kids sleep and a free weekly sleep chat. She also provides sleep advice for about 50+ moms who are all friends on a private parenting forum. Previously she was a CL one of iVillages bboards on kids sleep. And this is all in her spare time. (Which I know is very limited!)

She's a SAHM to 4 who is always running someone somewhere, always helping someone out. She's very involved in her community, her children's classrooms & sports, and her church. And despite all that she is always there to listen to me, and one of my biggest cheerleaders & supporters of my business! She also lives near Park City so it's a perfect getaway for her family where they wouldn't have to spend money on airfare or gasoline and they really deserve it!

I would like to nominate my daycard provider Jean Thompson. She has been taking care of my little ones for almost five years now. She is more then just a babysitter, she gives the children in her home a place of love and structure. From a hot breakfast when I drop my two year old off in the morning to the much needed nap at noon and then the 3 p.m. snack she has every single day. I know that Jean deserves this give away more then any of us. She is truly a mom that pays it forward. She has been that mom for my children while I am away at work everyday. She is the one who runs my seven year old off to school because I have a meeting that starts at 7:30 a.m. and no one to drop him off at school. She has been a constant mother to my children when I couldn't be. She has brushed my childrens hair, dressed them for the day, wiped dirty hands and faces and has been their to teach them to share and be the type of person to Pay it forward. So with all that I would like to nomintate her.
Thanks,
April

I'm nominating Anissa Mayhew. She's had a pretty crazy year with her hubs living in another state and going through all the ups and downs of her daughter Peyton's cancer.

Anissa has payed it forward by the simple fact that she has been brutally honest in sharing her story and that has changed me forever.

I now stop and appreciate my kids and what I have more than I used to. I take those extra moments of time to just be with them, even if it means being late to school now and then.

Anissa collects donations through her top spots, is always one to support me on my blog, and I'm sure her family can use the vacation too.

I would love to nominate Jessica Whitt for this trip. She is truly an inspiration. Jess very recently had the most devastating loss any mother could imagine. One of her 2 year old girls lost her battle with neuroblastoma. She has shown nothing but strength and courage and love throughout the days and nights spent in and out of the hospital to saying goodbye to her beautiful little girl. Jess is one of the most wonderful women I know. She's the type of person who is always there when you need a shoulder to cry on, even when she is going through so much herself and she truly is the sweetest person I know and such amazing mother.

I would also like to direct you to a cause that Jess whole-heartedly believes in (aside from raising money for Neuroblastoma and childhood cancer). Prior to her little girl being diagnosed, she started a blog called Will Play For Food http://playforfood.blogspot.com/ . The premise of this blog is to encourage parents to get their children involved in donating to charities. Primarily food banks. Mother's organize play dates in their local areas and each person attending brings food to donate to their local food bank. Such a worthy cause and a wonderful way to get your children involved in helping others. This is the type of person Jess is.

Jess is a dear friend of mine and I know she deserves this. Her family needs this.

Her blog address is: http://half12.blogspot.com/

Ali at MissionFieldDesigns.com is a mom who really deserves this vacation for a family of six. She is a mother of four who homeschools her children. She designs blogs for other moms, yet she hasn't been able to take her family on a vacation. If it wasn't for her awesome designs, the time she took out of her own schedule, and just her kindness, I don't know if TravelingMamas.com would look so snazzy. Ali and her husband are currently raising funds to adopt a child who needs a loving family. I don't know a better family who would enjoy this family vacation as much as hers would. And she doesn't even charge for her work. She only takes donations. It is only right that someone who did such an awesome job for a travel blog would get to take a meaningful family vacation to Park City Resort.

Her design website is http://missionfielddesigns.com

I want to enter a person I know IRL. She doesn't blog or twitter but she makes a difference in the lives of many who are going through hard times.

Her name is Alison and she is my son Noah's Heart Transplant Coordinator from The Childrens Hospital in Denver, Co.

Alison is a huge support to the parents and patients who are waiting or have received a heart transplant. While I was in Denver (I live in SLC) for 6 months for Noah's transplant she became more than Noah's Transplant Coordinator. She became my friend. She held my hand when I didn't know if my son would live or die. She gave me hope as she advocated for Noah and taught me what I would need to know to care for him with his new heart.

She takes time away from her own children to help other parents whose children are very ill.

I love her for all she has done and there isn't a person in this world who deserves this vacation more than she does.

Deserving brings one name to mind immediately: Donna Higgins! Donna is beautiful in and out. She is always there with a smile, a helping hand, ears, advice, and prayers. She is the most positive person I have ever had the pleasure to know and enjoy in my life. Donna is truly an Everyday Angel. As a single mother with two teenage sons, she has raised them in such a manner that anyone would be proud to call them their sons. Love and kindness oozes from seeing her photo of herself, friends and family and being in her presence. She has the self-esteem that I admire the most and someday hope if rubs off on me. The love of her life does not live close. He recently visited for a long weekend and this happens maybe once a year. When he left, Donna could not cry for she felt full and was so appreciative and thankful and blessed for their time together. Donna so deserves this indulgence as she usually is the pamperer, not the pamperee.
Donna is the walking… talking… random act of kindness… pay it forward sort of mom, daughter, aunt, niece, friend and angel. Sunday is for family and every one of them is Sunday dinnertime for her boys, friends, and family. All she knows are invited to partake and Donna without a doubt makes all feel welcome and loved. As she frequently indicates her status online as being “blessed”. Everyone in her life is truly blessed in the many ways she touches their lives. I wholeheartedly nominate Donna Higgins.

I am nominating my company's founder and President Lori Whiting. Being a company President you would think she's able to take vacations any time she likes, but she doesn't! She works around the clock to make sure our product is perfect, and gets shipped out on time, answering calls and emails all day, and then sends US all on vacation while she holds down the fort. I don't know when the last time was that she was able to get away and enjoy herself but she deserves to!

We recently were given incentive trips to Disney World in Florida, and even though she has teenagers who would have loved to have gone along, Lori's family stayed home, since we as her team were her priority. I would love to be able to give back in this way.

Since they live in Utah and could drive up there, this would be a great vacation for them to take together as a family and reconnect, after giving so much of their time to us. She started this company 20 years ago and all 11 of her children have worked in the business at some point alongside Lori to help keep it going. They have given and sacrificed even when they had their own lives to live, because they believed in her mission to help mothers and children, and supported her goals.

Lori is a mother who has set a fine example for her children in giving selflessly to her community, her company, and her children. Some of the older ones are starting their own families and her legacy will carry on through them. Taking this vacation will add one more piece, the idea that you need to take care of yourself now and then, too. Thanks!

Gosh, there are so many moms that I could nominate... but I can only name one. So before I do, I want to say that moms like you two (Jyl and Carissa) RAWK! On my blog, I'm featuring many moms that go outside of themselves daily to give back to their world. Some in small. But the one... the one that I admire most because she had the courage to bring a tough subject to light is...

((drumroll))

Maggie Dammit of Okay Fine Dammit!

Maggie has just launched a blog called Violence Unsilenced where she gives victims of abuse a chance to tell their stories, either publicly or anonymously. She has given those of us with abuse in our past a way to fight the demons in our heads by testifying about the good that has become of life. She does it in such a humble and caring way...

She also brought the subject to the attention of Alltop. There is now a section for DV on Alltop that highlights many other people passionate about bringing this social ill to light. And bringing this all to light is the only way to really attack DV.

But so many stay away from this subject... too depressing... too real... too scary... too anything...

Maggie took it on.

Maggie has a beautiful soul. It's evident in her writing on her personal blog. She is so humble and sweet and just a wonderful human. I hope that Maggie get s this vacation. She's going to need some rest to keep doing the work of freeing victims from their chains by giving them a place to be heard.

I would like to nominate my sister Nicole Morton of www.beingfrugalisfabulous.com.

Every mother knows the difficulties of raising a family on a limited budget. It seems these days, especially in such difficult financial times, that more and more families are tightening their budgets and looking for ways to save.

Nicole started a blog called “Being Frugal is Fabulous” to reach out to mothers and help them make the most of their budgets—and teach them how to have fun doing it, too!
Her approach is uniquely accessible: she’s been living the lifestyle of her blog for years. And when Nicole realized that mothers everywhere could benefit from her strategies, she jumped on the chance. Today, her blog has over 1,400 subscribers.

Nicole’s dedication to her family has always been a great example to me. She always puts her family (of four little kids!) first and is successfully able to balance her blog and family. She rarely (if ever!) splurges on anything for herself because of this commitment to putting her family before herself.

Her blog is merely one example of how she embodies the Mom It Forward mission: she’s dedicated every day to giving back to others. But even she could use a vacation now and again.

I want to nominate Karen Clark (http://twitter.com/funfelt). She inspires me daily. I met her online 4 years ago, and found she lived less than 3 miles from me. I shared an idea for a group that I wanted to start right before the holidays. In January she emailed me and said, so are you going to get this started? She and she alone brought 25 members to the group in the next few months. She spends a lot of time online, not just networking and promoting her business, but teaching others what she has learned as well as offering advice and support. She does this without a motive or personal gain.

Karen was a single parent for a while, and yet her kids are well balanced and they have a close relationship. You won't find better kids!

Before becoming a SAHM she was a teacher. You can see that in your interactions with her. She devotes herself to building people up and gravitates toward activities and groups that allow her to do this.

She also was a driving force behind many local fundraisers for a little 3 year old boy in her playgroup, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She has been the motivation keeping so many of us going, and yet she is still a gentle, loving wife & mother of 3.

She has superior sense of ethics, and morality where her business and family life are concerned.

She is an inspiration, a mentor/teacher, and motivator to so many, without having to sacrifice her beliefs or family. Thanks for all you do Karen!

She is a Mom of 4 who only recently discovered after fainting all her life that she may be suffering from diabetes and no one knew it. She is a green mom and runs a small business out of her home all while blogging and cooking for her family and others. Her tweets keep everyone in a great mood! My hero is my mom. She is the mother of 6 and grandma to 10 and a half. I am the oldest of the 6 of us and when I was 14 she became a single stay at home mom who had to go back to school and work full time. She never complained, and she never gave up. She has instilled such strong morals and values in all of us and I can only hope to become half the mom she has been to me. Our family has been through a lot, dad had a stroke at the age of 47 a year ago, which made mom the sole provider again. She went from accounting where she was laid off and went for the first job she could get, pushing food carts all around the valley hospital. It was hard for her but she kept going, just like she does with everything. Please consider my mom for this getaway. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more! Thank you,
Tashina

I would like to nominate my dear friend, Intisar. This mom has devoted her life to her three beautiful children (ages 9,7 and 5) despite fairly constant financial struggles. She and her husband have had to relocate within our integrated NJ community because of racist threats opposing their Muslim heritage. "Inty" never complained once -- holding her head high and smiling brightly, despite the chaos of the move and the questions it brought from her innocent wide-eyed children.

Inty volunteers every chance she gets to help her friends and neighbors, she works as a preschool teacher, and still manages to get up in the dark hours of morning to iron her children's clothing so they are "crisp and fresh" for their school day ahead. She works odd jobs and extra hours to provide her children with quality dance and music lessons that help them celebrate their heritage with pride.

Last year I took Inty and her children with me to a family weekend home for a "mini vacation". It only occurred to me then that these children had never been on a vacation -- in their lives!

This is how Inty lives -- humbly, modesty, frugally and wisely. Every step, every cent and every smile is for her children -- she always has plenty leftover for her friends.

yes -- Inty did join Facebook recently -- every post is to cheer on her pals or show photos or videos of her kids latest accomplishments -- Inty is the ULTIMATE "Mom it Forward" gal -- and could teach us all... I can't think of anyone who could better appreciate this special time with her children creating memories for a lifetime.

I would love to nominate my sister, Sara (sarasintheair.blogspot.com), who is also my very best girlfriend!

Although she is my younger sister (by 6 years), she is also my rock - the person I go to first when I'm worried, frustrated, excited...

Sara works full time, is a wonderful mom (raising the sweetest four-year-old girl in the world) and still manages to squeeze in the time to be available for her friends, who often come directly to her when they need help or support. For the past month, she has been sheltering a friend who was left without a place to live as well as most of her income. Sara doesn't really have any space or money to spare, but she rearranged and stretched whatever she had so that she could help.

Sara's husband was recently laid off from his job - they could use a little excitement and good news right about now; I don't think they've ever had the opportunity to take a family vacation... and this woman REALLY deserves a GREAT one!!!

Please consider my sister for this wonderful opportunity.

Thank you,

She bravely shared her daughter's fight with the world and when her daughter, Tuesday lost her fight, Jessica opened her arms to help others. She has touched so many people with her honesty and her integrity throughout this emotional process. I never knew the Whitt's but I was so moved by Tuesday's story and by the grace Jessica has displayed I feel she and her family need to be nominated for this. She is my angel =) I actually just wrote a blog post about much I apprecaite all she has done for me and love so much for you to read it. It would really put everything I am feeling at this moment into words. I just wrote it less than a week ago thanking her for all she is doing for me. She deserves the best gift ever. Right now I am trying to piece my life back together because I lost everything in that fire and wish I could give her something in return but I have nothing to give.

Please read this as it describes all she has done and the way I feel about her. In the comment section over the weekend I notice she even read my blog the other day and saw it which really brought a tear to my eye. The comment she left made my day =)

Hi I'm DiPaola Momma..(chickennuggetsofwisdom@gmail.com) I though I'd be orginal and nominate MY mom but I see some others have already beat me to it.. BUT she still really deserves it. I know she'd take her grandkids who are scattered about the country. She really deserves that treat. In her community every year she adopts a family in need, not so orginal huh? Well sort of because she does it annonimously. They never know who their benifactor is. They aren't a family who has signed up for aid or looked for a handout. She watches people. Finds them at Walmart or the grocery store and sees how the shop what their family might need. She then has my brother, a cop, drop off care packages near the end of the month when money is tight for most. The package changes, sometimes toys and clothes. Sometimes cleaning supplies and food. It's her way of paying back a kindness done in much the same fashion for our family when my parents where young and struggling. I'd like my mom to have a vacation to enjoy her family.

She needs a break.

The mom that I think deserves this so very much is Jessica Kate Whitt. She recently lost her daughter to pediatric cancer and is going through so much pain right now. She is an amazing woman who managed to show her daughters spirit in every blog post she wrote. This enabled Tuesday to touch so many lives and change people for the better. Jess is kind, warm, funny, all the things I aspire to be.

I know it might seem so repetitive to say my own mother is the person who deserves this the most. She is always so sacrificial; she is a teacher and give of her time all day. BUT she always has time to be my mom, too! I have four children, with one more on the way. She never makes a big ordeal about coming to be with me in the summer to help out. She always spoils me with her time/money. EVEN when I know both are often more scarce then she cares to admit. I know that she deserves a RELAXING vacation, because she is always WAY too busy.

Thank you for the consideration.

I met my BFF (Linda) online when she was living in Riga, Latvia. That's where her husband works. She wanted her kids to have opportunities that our kids have in the states. Her husband put in for a transfer and was denied. She decided that for the good of her kids she would move to Utah anyway, near other family, and so her son could play basketball before college (6'7" amazing basketball player), so her daughter could have friends at school and church that speak her own language, and so another child could get some very needed medical care that was not in Latvia. She misses her husband terribly and is sacrificing much. She has little (if any) time for herself and has dealt with her own health problems and a recent death in the family.

Linda is the most amazing, self sacrificing person I've ever met. She says just the right thing at the right time she uplifts me and through her own experiences gives me courage to keep going through my own mommy difficulties. I can't think of anyone that deserves this more. She has been a blessing to me. I'd love to pay that back somehow. Maybe I could win this contest for her.

So awesome "Mom It Forward" I love the concept.
Thanks,

My oldest sister Kristie is the greatest mom ever! Our mom died when I was 19. My sister didn't "take the place of my mom" but has helped out like a mom does on special occasions like weddings and babies being born for all of my siblings and myself. She has fun with her kids most recent throwing a Dr Sues B-Day party! She volunteers at schools, helps her friends that have major health issues! She has been through a lot, with deaths, and her husbands job loss, but she seems to always be positive. This last year she has been working her tail off, and has lost a ton of wait and preparing to run a 5K in June! I am so proud of her and love her for being such a great mom and friend to all!

My sister never does anything for herself, always tending to her 6 month old baby by herself. She's facing an interesting future that she never expected for herself, and she's handling it like a champ! Even as my heart breaks for her, I am proud of the person she is and how she's handling it all. She's my hero. Thank you so much for this opportunity!

My friend Katie deserves this. A very close friend of ours is battling breast cancer and she has been the hub of our drive to support our friend. She has organized a fund-raising benefit, created two blogs and a forum for her, organized a prayer meeting the night before our friend's double mastectomy surgery, and list goes on. She deserves a "great job pat on the back and relax!"

I would like to enter my best friend Mary. She is the "mom of moms". She is a full time working mom of 3 year old twins and an 18 month old. Wife to 1 Marine. She cooks fabulous meals 3 times a day (really, who cooks lunch? She does!) She is wonderful and would give the shirt off her back, a spare diaper from her bag or her last dollar to help you out. She lives in a town that is not even close to what she grew up with. However like a beautiful transplanted rose, she is thriving and doing a wonderful job for her hubby and kiddos. I could not ask for a better friend or greater advice when it comes to being a mom! She deserves a vacation for the first time since having kids.

Kelli Bush and her husband have a beautiful daugher, almost 3, who has a life-threatening heart disorder. She has undergone numerous procedures and surgeries since they found out, when she was just a few months old. She'll have to many more surgeries as her heart grows. Right now, they are attending an 8 week session (out of state) just so this little girl (I won't use her name without permission) can learn to eat. She has gotten her nutrition from a feeding tube most of her life, and never had a chance to develop the simple ability to eat food.

Not only does Kelli keep regular posts online for everyone who is praying for them, but she organized their own "Pay It Forward" fundraiser during the holidays, working with Avon to sell teddy bears for the little girl to help Santa pass out to other kids at Children's Hospital the week of Christmas. They sold enough bears to send to 3 different hospitals. Amazing.

I am nominating one of my best friends, Jenny Coin from www.taleoftwocoins.blogspot.com. The last six months have been the most trying times in her old and new life. After trying to get pregnant for over a year she finally became pregnant only to lose her husband at the age of 31 to a massive heart attack. Immediately after the funeral, she found out the she had lost the baby as well. She has held herself with such grace during this time. Her blog has reached out to other widows or other people in need. She receives e-mails and phone calls and always goes with open arms to help others in need. These losses have not hardened her heart in the least but has opened it to the world even more. I stand and watch her in awe every single day. If there is anybody that I can think of that would deserve a vacation...it would be Jenny Coin. Please go and visit her at her blog and drop her a line. She loves visitors!

I would love to give this to my sister. She has been through so much in the past year, including a jealous husband who was controlling and mentally abusive towards her, a nasty divorce, and now having to deal with all her ex husband baggage. You would think putting all of this behind her would be a blessing, but she continually finds herself sinking further. He left her with mountains of debt (bills he said he was paying but did not) stress beyond belief, and now possibly cancer. She is a fighter! No matter how tough things are for her, she still pushes on. She would never take time for herself..ever, so I would love to give her a "breather" from her fight. thank you (sorry for rambling)

They have 2 young boys. Angie is an incredible woman. I do not know how she is able to keep herself together, knowing that the love of her life is dying right before her eyes. She has made me look at life in a whole new way. Angie and her boys would probably greatly appreciate some time away from their house, the place where their precious husband and father will most likely make his journey to eternal life.

I would like to nominate my dear friend Hayley, from When I Grow...
Hayley is an amazing person! She has had many challenges in her life and is an inspirations to many.
Hayley lost her 9 year old son, Heller, on Dec 22, 2007.
Since then, her mission has been to spread kindness in honor of her Heller. She hosted a random acts of kindness day on Dec. 22, 2008.
Because of Heller
And you can see some of the stories of that day here:
Stories of Inspiration

Hayley also has two other children, a toddler and a teenager.
It is Hayley's mission to make Acts of Kindness, because of Heller, an everyday event. She is working on a new blog to further this cause.
She is a source of inspiration for so many. And Heller has touch so many lives in such a positive way.
Hayley's only wish is for people to remember her darling child, by doing as he had done, in his short life, by spreading acts of kindness, in simple and big ways.
I believe Hayley embodies the idea of Mom it Forward and is so deserving of a little time off. I know winning this would make her very happy.

And this is not a completely unselfish request, as I would get such a thrill out of telling my friend she has won!

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to nominate my friend!

I'd like to nominate my Sister in Law, Cammie Heaston. Her positive outlook and go-to attitude are inspirational to me. She and their toddler son sent her husband (a Marine) off to Iraq days after having another baby boy. While he was gone last year, she was always upbeat and concentrated on taking care of her children and her education (she knew the reality of his job was dangerous and that she needed a good education in case she had to support her family). When he came home, it was (and still is) a big adjustment for him and she has responded with such patience and kindness. I think they really deserve this vacation so they can go away as a family and have FUN, they need to forget their stresses for awhile. She is a inspiration to me of how to love and support those around you, no matter what situation you are in. I would love to see them take this trip together!

I think the mom who deserves it the most is my friend, Jodi. Jodi and I worked together in adult education. She is the most committed person I know. She works two jobs teaching adult education (business daytime and business evening classes) where she does whatever it takes to try and help moms complete school while dealing with everything in their lives. She tutors them (without pay). She gives out her personal email and cell numbers and receives calls, emails, and texts at all times of day from her students who need help - whether personally (some students go through divorce, lose their homes, et cetera while in school) or academically. Meanwhile, her husband makes little to no money working job to job. Her son underwent treatment and bone marrow replacement for leukemia. Neither her fulltime day job or her part time evening job offers benefits - so she lost her house just to pay for her son's medical attention. And all the while, she keeps on going. Never complaining. She just registered for nursing school (begins in fall) where she'll try to work and go to school and be a mom to 3 all at the same time - just to make a better life for her family. She truly deserves it more than anyone I know!

I would like to nominate an extremely strong mother, she sets an example for all Mom it Forward members! Everyone who knows her has so much respect for her. She is a single mother of three children!! One child of which, her only Son, was involved in a car accident and suffered a closed head injury. This mother put herself through college, and worked full time and managed to do everything she could for her kids. Her Son is fine and doing well now. Never once does she ask for help. I do not believe anyone knows how much this mother has done on her own!! She is STRONG, unselfish, and is simply amazing. She has never won anything in her life. I ask that you please consider this special, strong, postive mother for your summer vacation, she truly deserves this, and would mean the world to her, only because it comes from this Mom it Forward Group!

I totally want to nominate one of my best friends, Alyssa. This girl has been a saint to our family. We moved here to this area about a year ago, and her family was the one who took us under their wings. Not only has she babysat for me, which is NO little feat, because I have 3 children under the age of three AND she has THREE children of her OWN, but she watches an ADDITIONAL baby 3 times a week, for a working Mom, holds 2 VERY demanding church callings and has a husband who works in the news business, and also works a night job, to make ends meet, so he is rarely home. On my BEST day, I could NEVER measure up to her. Her house is always spotless, her laundry is always done, and she always seems to maintain an AMAZING, Christlike attitude...and while doing all this... is always looking for more ways to serve those around her. I really don't know what me OR my other friends would do without her. She is the glue that holds us all together, and even though she would NEVER, EVER admit it, she needs a really great getaway. This would be amazing for someone like her! Thank you so much for the opportunity to let other people know about the important, selfless, amazing person in my life... Alyssa.

Sick? Expect a package of chicken noodle soup to arrive in the mail. Kids growing out of their clothing? Prepare to recieve a bag full of clothing in just-the-right size. Sad? Mad? Happy? Not for long, if my sister Natalie knows about it.

Natalie, or Noodles, as we gals call her is the second oldest in a family of six daughters. Fifteen years ago, my parents divorced and essentially abandoned our family, and Natalie (age 14 at the time) stepped it up. She just couldn't bear to see one of us go without. She shares her last pennies, lends a listening ear, gives her favorite kitchenware to furnish our littlest sister's new apartment, and on, and on.

A stay-at-home mom to three (this is another story in and of itself but I'll save it for another day :), she nurtures her children wholeheartedly, and still finds time daily to chat, shop, cook for, weep with, and care for her five sisters, her friends, and anyone else whose needs come to her knowledge.

And, though she deserves a day of rest, I can't remember the last time she's taken a vacation. How 'bout we give her one? :)

THANKS for such a delightful contest!

My mom is my hero and a true example of mom it forward. She has had many difficulties in her life including being a single mom, severe asthma & allergies that would make many women only concentrate on herself. Instead she has taken care of her parents, fostered 28 teen girls, & adopted three girls. She has recently taken in my sister and her baby while still taking care of her mom and working full time. She will drop anything to help family or friends whenever the need arises. All of my childhood & young adult friends who have found me on Facebook the last year have asked about her first. She leaves that kind of impression on people!

She's become a great friend over the last year that I met through our hair blogs. She's had a major string of bad luck with Blogger deleting her original blog for no reason & had issues w/major harsh people saying awful things on her blog. Stupid blog drama. Her family had a little vacation planned a few months back and just before they were going to head out her husband got laid off so they didn't end out going. She's had to pick up major hours from a little part time job she had & is working her behind off - all different shifts - to help keep things afloat until he is able to find something.

She's just a fabulous person & has literally given the shirt off her back to help foster her niece and is just a very selfless person. She deserves this big time! I'd love to see her have a break to be able to spend time with her family and relax a little. She's one that is always paying it forward & expects nothing in return.

Meredith (http://therapeuticramblingsofamom.blogspot.com/) is the mother of 5 children. Their newest addition is actually their 13 year old nephew who joined their family a couple of years ago. Though she did not actually give birth to him, she considers him her son. She loves him as if he's her own. She is an amazing woman who has had to endure a lot of trials recently. In '06, Mere's husband was so sick with ulcerative colitis, that he nearly lost his life. He is healthy and well now, praise God! And she does give God all the glory -- not just for healing her husband for every single circumstance in her life. Just read her blog. She is so inspirational and uplifting, always directing us to God and how He loves us and provides for us in so many ways. If I had to describe Mere in one word, it would be authentic. She really lays it all out for all to see. Because if just one person was touched or moved to ask Jesus into their life because of her authenticity, then it was all worth it to her. Please pick my friend Mere. She deserves it and could really use a fun getaway with her family!

Sincerely,
Amy

This is such a wonderful giveaway putting others before ourselves. My nomination is for my sister-in-law, April Wanlass, because she exemplifies selfless service. She is the mother of four young children yet she finds the time to volunteer at her church working with the youth group there and volunteers in her town helping the less fortunate. Even though I live across the country from her, she is always asking what she can do to help us out. She recently created a budget for us so that we can live off of one income so I can stay home with my infant triplets! She is such a great example to me in so many ways and I know that she would really enjoy this trip with her family.

I have two kids of my own and every time she is around them she loves them like they are her own. I actually call her my kids second mom because of how good she is with them. She gets them to eat when I can not. She plays with them when I'm exhausted. She just simply loves my kids. Who doesn't instantly love someone who gives their love freely? Caren hasn't been able to get pregnant for 3 years now. Someone who is so caring and has so much love in her heart deserves a get a way.

I'd like to nominate my mom. She's always been there for me through thick or thin. She's recently taken in my three older children from a previous marriage while my current husband and I are seeking a place to move to with the 2 younger ones.We haven't been getting alot of jobs as contractors lately and have been searching for jobs. It's been hard trying to find jobs and keep a roof over our heads and so we've had to send our children to her until we can find a place to stay and jobs to keep us going. She's supposed to be retired but is still working and has just recently taken on couponing to help stretch the dollars at home. I'm very thankful to her for helping us out and will always be grateful for all that she's done for me and my family.

Greetings from Keonte' Smith

My nomination is for my Mother!

It's obvious I am the recipient of a Mom It Forward experience. My Mother is the one person who remains consistent in her ability to give, to inspire, and to overcome several obstacles.

Several years ago, she was diagnosed with Lupus. This was a time of great reflection for my Mom. She realized life was a gift and it needed to be handled with gentle hands and a caring heart. She treated her incurable disease with determination, faith in God, and the constant support of family.

My Mother's uncanny strength was passed on to me when I became a Mommy to my son. She helped me see the beauty in the sleepless nights, the hormonal imbalances, and the endless tears experienced in motherhood.

While my Mother is not internet-sensation, she has a 'hard-drive' full of knowledge in her head. She's no blogger or product-reviewer. Heck, it would take a weekend to explain Twitter to her. But, she has given me the confidence I need to share my world with others.

My Mother has paid it forward my entire life. She deserves this summer vacation (she hardly ever vacations.) Please consider her for this giveaway with an open-heart.

I am Cindy (http://curecf4reilly.blogspot.com) or (curecf4reilly@hotmail.com).

I am nominating a bloggy friend of mine, Hope. She has three children, one of which has serious health issues. Hope, herself, is a Neuroblastoma Stage IV survivor still coping with the effects her treatment left on her body. With God's grace, she faces each day, and is continuially learning how to best handle all that life throws at her. She puts her children first, and deserves a little break. It seems just when things seem to be looking up, something else pops up.

You can learn more about her and her children at http://hopeandava.blogspot.com/.

I'd like to nominate my mom. The last couple of years have been really tough on her. My dad got laid off. They live in Green Bay Wisconsin, and there aren't to many jobs there. My mom's brother and sister died last year too.

Now my aunt (mom's other sister) had major surgery right after Christmas this year. She was only suppose to in there for 3 days and ended up with 2 more surgeries and was there a total of 42 days! Even though my aunt didn't want visitors, my mom went anyway to help her kids out. My aunt was mad, but the kids were grateful for whatever break. My aunt is now living at her daughters house till she gets her strength back, and my mom has taken time out of her schedule to help when my cousin has to leave (if fact, she's there right now).

My mom is always helping others including her daughters. She's had a hard life, and I would like to give something back to her.

I would like to nominate Louise from MomStart (http://www.momstart.com/) . She came into our Bloggers Give program just as a volunteer and has taken the reigns to truly every day, contact bloggers and ask them to donate extra review and giveaway products to the program.

Through her efforts, we have raised $5,000 worth of products in 2 months to go to The Center for Courageous Kids, which help children and their families who are facing cancer and other terrible illnesses.

Louise is not paid, nor does she receive any beneifits for working the program, she just does it for the kids.

I have never met her, we only work together online, but she is very inspirational and has made a difference for so many already in this early 2009.
