Thanksgiving dinner, sans turkey

  • Everyone seems to have that one special item that makes the Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, or Christmas meal. What is that one thing for you?
  • Do you have a story of a holiday meal you totally destroyed (along the lines of A Christmas Story)?
  • What about your most successful holiday party?
  • Who has memories of making a family recipe of dipped chocolates or that one fabulous Old Country baked item?

Would you like some fudge?

  • Do you decorate gingerbread houses with your kids?
  • Any other fun baking activities?
  • Any tips you have to share?

Hello Jyl!

I have been doing a Thanksgiving recipe series on my blog the last couple of weeks, and I would love to be in Topic Talk. Here are the links:

I'm also planning a couple more in the coming weeks. :)

I don't know what you'll want to do with all of that, but I thought I'd give you the whole picture. :)

First in line for food...always. I'm going to say I'll attend but I'm not sure if I'll be able to tweet that fast from the hosp. May have my lap top brought to me if I end up having to stay too long like last time....I just can't be responsible for anything I say under the influence of drugs. :)

11/11 is also Veteran's Day, so we might want to have some topic talk on that. All that food talk ... my goodness, my tummy is rumbling already.

Ok so I don't now about Twitter but I am intrigued by the holiday talk. I love the holidays and we have tons of traditions that revolve around food from me making the Thanksgiving turkey to christmas goodies.

Carissa (good and crazy people) and I have been chatting and I am gonna post my Turkey brine recipe on my blog I will try to figure out this Twitter thing in the meantime and hopefully participate tonight.
